EBROCHURE DESCRIPTION:
An idea of a "bronze project" started with the desire of the artist Hameed Khazaal to do several bronze sculptures. So he consulted his friend and colleague the artist Fadhel Al-Abbar to do the work under his supervision since he has a wide experience in this field.
Fadhel Al-Abbar has welcomed the idea and invited other artists Hussein Al-Musaieb and Nader Al-Faras to join this project in which both welcomed the idea.
The work started very simple in the backyard of the atelier of Fadhel Al-Abbar in Surra neighborhood in August 2004.
In a short period the artists Hussein and Nader have withdrawn from the project for their personal reasons while the artist Hameed Khazaal has continued with enthusiasm. He had to fulfill his desire in implementing several bronze sculptures still under the supervision of his friend Mr. Al-Abbar.
During this session, an idea came up to do a joint exhibition of the works of Mr. Khazaal and Mr. Al-Abbar as a project for small bronze sculptures.
Later on Mr. Khazaal was deeply involved in the process of bronze sculpture ideas that he has developed for himself in his own atelier in Sabah Al-Salem Neighborhood. He has developed his ideas from several simple and available materials and assembles them together in a way to suit his style bonded with wax and ready to be converted into bronze. He got a lot of encouragements from the artist Fadhel Al-Abbar to continue in this manner that these ideas reflect the style and character of Mr. Khazaal. This type of work became the distinguished style of Khazaal in his new experience in the field of sculpture and told him to continue in this line of work since this reflects his style in paintings as well since painting was his major studies.
Both artists worked accordingly to prepare for this distinguished exhibition from August 2004 till the end of 2008.
