|
Experimenting with new materials, styles and subjects is a great pleasure for me. My work has changed from painting to collage and back again, often I combine both. Some subjects emerge from the containment of a frame, in others, the subject exists without any frame. Texture is an important component in all my work. Layered tissue papers, textured paints, pastes and collage elements bring an actual textural dimension to many of my paintings.
Since these pieces are in private collections and most cannot be reproduced, as in a print, I create a new work which is similar to the one you see here, to your individual order.
Many are cut out of wood while others are acrylic paint/pastel/tissue collage on wood. Pieces with tissue give a special texture not easily transferred in photos. Some of my work is done on paper with pastel or charcoal. |
